Margo Price and Tyler Childers offer a behind-the-scenes look at their collaborative process in the new video for their duet, “Love Me Like You Used to Do.”

Written by Steve Knudson, the song is at once tender and apprehensive, a plea from a couple who find themselves searching for that old spark while deep into a relationship. “We’ve got time/I know we do,” Price and Childers sing on the bridge, “And I believe in us, honey/Most of the time.”

More from Rolling Stone

The simple new black-and-white video for “Love Me Like You Used to Do” shows Price and Childers in the studio together. While there’s some footage of them tinkering with the track and talking things over, the most striking shots are simply the two of them standing opposite each other as they deliver their spellbinding vocal performances.

“Man, that sounds so pretty,” Childers tells Price at the end of the video, after they’ve listened back to the song. “That’s super cool, thank you so much.”

“Love Me Like You Used to Do” appears on Price’s most recent album, Hard Headed Woman, which arrived at the end of August. She has a bunch of tour dates lined up in support of the album this fall, with a mix of headlining shows and festival sets scheduled through late November.

Price also made headlines recently for being the last artist to play Jimmy Kimmel Live! before ABC suspended the show under pressure from the Trump administration. (It’s returning to the airwaves — most of them — tonight.) The song she performed was, fittingly, “Don’t Let the Bastards Get You Down.” As she told Rolling Stone earlier this year, the song began from her “anger at the music industry and the people I was working with,” but took on a much broader meaning — certainly in light of what happened to Kimmel.

“It’s funny how that businessman can very easily be anyone who is in a seat of power and corrupting the world,” Price said.
