Mario Lopez and Tony Danza are already in the holiday spirit.
On Tuesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where Lopez was a guest host and Danza was on to be interviewed, the two announced that they have a holiday film coming out after decades of knowing each other.
“Whenever I would post a pic [of us together] people would be like, ‘When are you guys gonna work together?'” Lopez said, after sharing with the audience just how much the two have in common.
“So I just wanted to break the news right here, Tony and I finally going to be working together, we’re doing a holiday film,” Lopez announced. “He’s going to play my dad, my real-life son Dominic is going to be the grandson, so there’s going to be three generations living in a house with a little song and dance.”
“Wait til you see this kid, too,” Danza chimed in of the 13-year-old.
“He’s great, he might steal the show right there,” Lopez added.
In their announcement the Saved By The Bell icon disclosed that it will stream on Great American Family’s Pure Flix the day ofter Thanksgiving.
According to a press release from the network, the film is entitled ‘Christmas at the Starlight.’

Lopez himself has starred in numerous TV Christmas films including ‘The Christmas Spark’ and ‘Holiday in Santa Fe.’ However the longtime television host said in the press release that this role will be particularly special.
“Working with Tony Danza as my father in this story is incredibly special, and having Dominic play my son makes it even more personal,” he said. “’Christmas at The Starlight’ is about family, honoring where you come from, and recognizing the traditions and people that shape your life. Great American Media has built a Christmas brand families believe in, and I’m proud to be part of a movie that celebrates those values in such a heartfelt way.”
The network is home to family-friendly and often faith-themed holiday movies, starring celebrities like Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar.
