Mark Hamill revealed what his wife Marilou Hamill‘s favorite movie of his is, and the answer might surprise you.
“With The Life of Chuck, I’ve seen it now three times. My wife has seen it like six times. She says, ‘It’s my favorite thing you’ve ever done,'” Mark, 73, told The Hollywood Reporter of his wife’s favorite movie in an interview published on Thursday, September 11.
The Life of Chuck, which was released in June, follows three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz (Tom Hiddleston). Hamill appeared in the film as grandfather Albie Krantz.
The film is just one of two Stephen King movie adaptations that Hamill is starring in 2025, as he also appears in the film The Long Walk, which hit theaters on Friday, September 12.
“I was playing the family lawyer to a really evil family — a soulless, truly evil guy,” he told THR about his latest project. “And I loved it. It was minimalist. It was unlike anything I had ever done, and it sort of rekindled my satisfaction of doing things on camera.”
Hamill, who is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, revealed Marilou’s favorite movie of his after they detailed the secrets of their successful marriage during an August interview.

“Don’t sweat the little stuff,” Marilou, 70, said of how they have remained a solid unit after 47 years of marriage while speaking to People on August 31. “And also, go in knowing you’re not going to change anyone. So you have to accept their quirks and their behavior.”
Mark jokingly asked “what quirks” she was talking about before he added that “acceptance” and “communication” are essential parts of a successful relationship.
“I just think that when you find the right one, the odds are against you,” Mark shared. “But if you do get lucky, you just have to hang on and be grateful that you were able to find that one.”
