No one knows the New York City uniform quite like the Olsen twins, and this week, Mary-Kate Olsen gave us a few styling tips for a wildly chic, timeless city wardrobe.
The designer was caught stepping out in Manhattan alongside art dealer Vito Schnabel. Coffee in hand and oversize black sunglasses on, she was the picture of a quintessential New Yorker.
Ever the polished minimalist, Olsen slipped on a series of classic everyday staples: a luxurious long black coat, black Adidas Sambas (the elevated Sambae style), and a custom chocolate-brown crocodile bag from the Row, which she has carried before.
The queen of the quiet fashion statement, Olsen wrapped a black-and-brown paisley scarf from Yaser Shaw around her neck, trapping her wavy blonde hair beneath it, creating the perfect Olsen tuck.
Olsen wore the same scarf like a pashmina last September, when she attended a tennis match during the US Open. Then, she layered the boho piece over a crisp white button-up and paired it with black trousers and chunky mixed-metal jewelry (including a silver choker, a bulbous silver ring, and a square-shaped gold ring). Her signature messy bronde waves were then left to flow free, outside the confines of an Olsen tuck.
The scarf came out again in October, when Olsen paired it with black staples for a Sushi Park girls’ night with Kendall Jenner. (How can we get our hands on this Olsen-approved piece?!)
