The dismal viewing figures of the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle programme have been released by Netflix, and one royal expert believes there is one major obstacle for Meghan to find success with her series
Netflix has released its viewing figures for the second half of 2025, with Meghan Markle’s lifestyle show receiving dismal ratings. The series – titled With Love, Meghan – was first released in March 2025, and made a brief appearance in Netflix ’s top 10 most watched programmes.
The second season, which aired in August, was much more widely panned, with the streaming giant’s engagement report claiming it was the 1,224th most-watched program on Netflix between July and December 2025, racking up 2 million views since release, with 9.7 million hours viewed. Just a few months later, the Duchess of Sussex premiered a Christmas-themed episode.

The hour-long holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, was not as well received as it ranked 1,022nd overall. The special, which premiered on December 3 had 2.4 million views and 2.3 million hours viewed.
In light of these grim viewing figures, sources have claimed that the future of the series is in doubt, with one insider claiming it will not be renewed for a third season. A source told Page Six: “It’s not returning as a series. There have been conversations about holiday specials, but there’s nothing in the works yet.”
The source alleged that while there may be no more of Meghan’s show, she will continue to focus on her As Ever brand in a different way. They told the publication: “People will see similar cooking and crafting on Meghan’s socials for the brand, but more bite-sized.”
Despite Meghan’s clear passion for the Netflix series, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes that Meghan may have bitten off more than she could chew with her debut into the reality lifestyle TV space.
Jennie told the Mirror : “I think it just goes to prove that making a successful TV series is not as easy as she might have thought. No doubt people tuned into the first series out of curiosity to see what she had to offer, and I think the show was fine as far as it went.”
The show has seen Meghan offer a range of cooking, crafting and hosting tips, as she has been joined by a range of celebrities for different episodes. And according to Jennie, this type of programme presents one major problem for anyone undertaking the task.
“The trouble is that this is a saturated market,” she said. “Cooking, chatting, style tips etc are commonplace on social media, as well as on TV. There was nothing original about the show and, although Meghan was perfectly pleasant as a presenter, she didn’t really have anything unique to offer, beyond the fact that she’s married to a prince (who hardly appeared). It didn’t help that it wasn’t even filmed in their own home, so viewers couldn’t get a peek behind the scenes of their domestic life.”
With the future of With Love, Meghan now in jeopardy, Jennie believes that success may lie elsewhere in the lifestyle space for the Duchess, as she said: “I think she’d probably be better going back to her first craft, acting or concentrating on her As Ever brand – which appears to be showing signs of potential success, though the sales figures are not officially published.”
Meghan’s As Ever brand has prompted mixed reactions from royal fans and commentators alike, as she has focused on selling a range of consumables – such as her famous jams, honey and teas – and recently branching into homewares with a range of candles.
While some of Meghan’s diehard fans have shared their love for the brand, others have been more sceptical. The most recent criticism came with a brand drop to coincide with Valentine’s Day.
Meghan teased her fans on social media by alluding to a new product drop, which instead turned out to be a simple restock of her best-selling raspberry spread. Fans were up in arms over the lack of new merchandise, taking to social media to voice their frustrations.
One user wrote on X: “ Meghan Markle wants you to know THIS is her Valentine’s Day collection. Nothing else. This is her at her best. She had a year to curate a Valentine collection and this was what she came up with. This.” Another one said: “Are you joking? She puts zero effort into this. It’s getting ridiculous now.” A third person claimed: “So lame. Trying to get rid of all that extra inventory.”
