Meghan Markle appeared in a new advert wearing almost £80,000 worth of clothes and jewellery. The Duchess of Sussex’s recent ad for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, showcased her new range of fruit spreads, chocolates, candles, tea, and honey.
Her looks in the Instagram video add up to about £18,820, according to the Mail. She wore high-waisted jeans, white t-shirts, button-ups, pastel jumpers, and tailored trousers. Meghan was seen in ‘Upper Village’ jeans from Montecito designer Tracy James, which cost £302. She also donned a pair of £1,250 trousers from The Row and a custom Oscar de la Renta gown. The Duchess accessorised with a £47,168 Logan Holloway diamond tennis bracelet and £5,250 Birks Snowflake earrings. She also wore her £7,050 Cartier Love bracelet and £17,800 Cartier Tank Francaise watch.
“Welcome to the World of As Ever,” the caption read. “What began with fruit from Meghan’s garden, simmered into preserves in her home kitchen, has inspired our curated collections to bring surprise and delight to your everyday.”
This week, a new ‘sizing chart’ appeared on the As Ever website for t-shirts, including ‘plus size’ options up to 5XL. There was also a chart for children’s t-shirts, down to toddler sizes.
The company currently doesn’t sell any clothes. Today, the charts were replaced with the message: “We can’t find what you’re looking for.”
This comes after Meghan’s partnership with Netflix ended in March. An As Ever spokesman said: “We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As Ever is now ready to stand on its own.”
Netflix said: “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life.
“As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently.”
