In a 2014 entry, long before she met Prince Harry, Meghan commented on the media frenzy surrounding William and Kate’s 2011 Royal wedding, stating in a pointed eight-word critique: “Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy.”

Her post contrasted the fascination with Royal weddings with her own childhood admiration for strong, independent female characters like She-Ra, “a sword-wielding royal rebel.”

Now, as she steps back into the lifestyle arena with As Ever, Meghan has suggested she’s ready to reclaim her voice. “I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years,” she revealed in a launch video, referencing the limitations she experienced as a working Royal.

The brand revival arrives just weeks before her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, and comes after Prince Harry‘s explosive revelations in Spare, including friction between Meghan and Kate leading up to the Sussexes’ 2018 wedding.
