Allen stands accused of charging toward the event and breaching a Secret Service checkpoint, before allegedly exchanging gunfire with law enforcement officers.
Although the Trumps and their guests escaped unharmed, reports suggest that one Secret Service agent was struck by a bullet at close range, though his bulletproof vest shielded him from injury. Allen was not shot but was taken to a medical facility for evaluation after being restrained and taken into custody.
The 31-year-old suspect has since faced charges of assault on a federal officer and use of a firearm during a crime of violence, with his arraignment scheduled for Monday.
