Mission: Impossible star Ving Rhames has been hospitalized following a medical emergency.
On Wednesday afternoon (April 29), the 66-year-old Golden Globe-winning actor was having lunch with his family at the Granville restaurant in North Hollywood, Calif. when he collapsed at the table, TMZ reported.
The fire department responded to the incident and rushed Ving to the hospital.
Ving‘s rep later confirmed the health scare and told Variety that the actor is “on his way home” and feeling fine now.
“He sounded like everyday Ving and cracked a joke over the phone,” his manager Brad Kramer told the outlet.
Kramer went on to say that Ving was checked out at the hospital and was feeling much better after the incident, noting that he “sounded like everyday Ving” when they spoke on the phone.
If you didn’t know, Ving is the only actor besides Tom Cruise to appear in all eight Mission: Impossible movies. He played computer hacker Luther Stickell.
His acting credits also include Pulp Fiction, Bringing Out the Dead, Dope Thief, and Uppercut. In 1998, Ving won a Golden Globe for portraying boxing promoter Don King in Don King: Only in America. He also voiced Cobra Bubbles in Lilo & Stitch.
