Steven (Steve) Miller

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), one of the nation’s leading integrated sports, media, and entertainment companies, announced that Steven (Steve) Miller will become its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 2, 2025. In this role, Miller will lead MSE’s next phase of transformation—driving profitable growth, enterprise-wide operational excellence, and financial strategy—while accelerating the company’s future value creation initiatives and systems improvements across its business platform.

As MSE’s Chief Financial Officer, Miller will report directly to Ted Leonsis, Founder, Chairman, Managing Partner, and CEO of MSE. He will lead the company’s finance organization, which includes corporate real estate, controllership, enterprise-wide financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury functions and will assist on MSE’s corporate development efforts.

“Steve brings exceptional financial and capital markets experience, having worked with one of the most recognized consumer retail brands, and possesses a strong corporate fundraising and IPO background,” said Ted Leonsis. “As a highly regarded corporate finance leader, Steve’s wealth of executive leadership experience in operational roles makes him the perfect addition to Monumental’s senior leadership team as we continue to scale our business platform across the sports and media-entertainment industry with financial rigor and discipline.”

Miller is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Warby Parker (NYSE: WRBY), a role he has held since 2011 and was the financial architect of the company’s successful funding rounds and its highly successful direct listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on September 29, 2021.

“I am thrilled and deeply honored to step into this role at a defining time for Monumental and the entire sports and media-entertainment industry,” said Miller. “I am excited to work closely with Ted, Zach, and the Monumental executive team in leading this company, and driving value for our employees, fans, investors, and communities as we continue to optimize and grow our business platform.”

Prior to Warby Parker, Miller held a range of executive leadership positions during his highly successful career, including Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Majestic Research, a pioneering data-driven research firm where he led the successful sale of the company to ITG (now part of Virtu Financial). Earlier, he was Vice President in Comerica Bank’s Technology and Life Sciences Division, where he opened the Bank’s New York office. He began his career at Monitor Company as a strategy consultant and served as an Urban Fellow in New York City.

“Steve’s combination of financial acumen, strategic vision, operational focus and understanding of consumer-focus solutions are well-suited to enhance our investor reporting and advance our future ambitions as one of the most valuable sports and media-entertainment companies in the world,” said Zach Leonsis, President of Media & New Enterprises for MSE. “His leadership will serve our company, investors, stakeholders and fans exceedingly well as we continue to navigate the transformational shifts in the media-entertainment industry to drive value creation.”

Miller is a board trustee of Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. He also serves on the board of the Ubuntu Education Fund, a nonprofit health and education provider in South Africa as well as the board of Dandelion Chocolate. Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Columbia University.

After Miller joins the company on October 2, 2025, Peter Biché will continue in his role as Senior Advisor to complete his transition of duties.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment retained Heidrick & Struggles to conduct the comprehensive Chief Financial Officer search.
