A day of fun and music for all ages will be taking place in Queen’s Park in Loughborough this September.
Charnwood Borough Council is thrilled to announce the return of the Music in the Park event, which will take place on Sunday, 28 September.
Running from 10am to 6pm, this free, family-friendly celebration promises a full day of live music, local food, and community spirit.
From folk and jazz to pop and rock, the event will showcase a diverse line-up of local talent on stage throughout the day. Attendees can also enjoy artisan stalls, delicious street food, and a relaxed park atmosphere perfect for picnics and family outings.
Artists performing in this year’s event will be announced in the coming weeks.
The first Music in the Park event took place over two days in September last year in Southfields Park, and included performances from local musicians and singers from a wide range of musical genres, including swing, rap and rock ‘n’ roll.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Council’s lead member for housing, economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “Music in the Park is a fantastic celebration of local talent and our amazing Charnwood community.
“It’s events like this that bring people together and breathe life into our town centres. We’re proud to support a day that not only entertains but also showcases the vibrancy and creativity of the borough.
“With activities for all ages, Music in the Park is designed to be inclusive and welcoming for everyone. Whether you’re discovering new music, enjoying a sunny day out, or supporting local businesses, this is a day not to be missed.”

Music in the Park is one of several events which form part of the Living Loughborough project, which is being supported by Loughborough Town Deal. The Town Deal secured £16.9 million from the Government’s Towns Fund to support 11 projects and, in total, they are worth more than £40 million of investment.
