FORTY FORT — Again, it was just one goal that separated Wyoming Area and Holy Redeemer.
And again, it was Wyoming Area sophomore Ava Musinski having her hand in the outcome.
The Warrior scored two goals in the second half to pace the Warriors to a 2-1 win over the Royals in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 girls soccer Wednesday.
Musinski scored her first goal just 53 seconds into the second half before Redeemer’s Elyse Kunec tied it at 1 10 minutes later.
Musinski’s second goal with 20 minutes left kept the Warriors perfect on the year.

Wyoming Seminary 5, Valley West 0: At Kingston, the Wyoming Seminary girls tennis team is bringing another Wyoming Valley Conference championship back home.
The Blue Knights dropped just three games Wednesday in a victory over Wyoming Valley West. Seminary finishes the year perfect in league play where it didn’t give up a point to any WVC team.
Addison Priebe, Cece Pons and Lizzie Weaver were all winners in straight sets. The teams of Elisabeth Moules-Kate Minella and Jophie Li-Kim Li were both victorious, 6-0, 6-0.

Wyoming Area 4, Holy Redeemer 1: At Kirby Park, Sarah Willison gutted out a three-set win at No. 3 singles to lead Wyoming Area past Redeemer.
Emma Kratz and Molly Kratz both had straight-set wins.
Redeemer’s lone point came at No. 2 doubles where Lily Dudick and Emma Grochal picked up the 10-5 win in the third-set super-tiebreaker.

Sophia Biscotti and Darin Khuseyn each won in straight sets. Lake-Lehman’s Kaitlyn Brudnicki won a third-set super tiebreaker to get the victory at No. 1.

Miranda Anderson and Larissa Harding were victorious in singles, while the team of Annie Bonnice and Megan Patton gutted out a three-set win.

Cross country
At Lake-Lehman, the Black Knights took four of the top five spots Wednesday to pick up three victories in a cluster meet at Lehman.
Stephen Martin was the top Black Knight finisher with a time of 16:44. Northwest’s Michael Fritz was the top boys runner, crossing the line in 16:17. Lehman’s Bodhi Cronin, Parker Smith and Finn Cronin rounded out the top five.
In the girls race, Tunkhannock’s Madelyn Graves was the top runner with a time of 20:23, but Lake-Lehman and Dallas each won three meets. Lehman’s Ava Jones, Liv Corcoran and Kinley Purdy all finished in the top four, while Dallas’ Mollie Coyne was sixth with a time of 22:14.

Nanticoke Area 3, Wyoming Area 0: At Nanticoke, the Trojanettes picked up the WVC victory with a three-set sweep for the Warriors, 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.
For the Warriors, Taylor Gashi had seven kills, 14 digs and four aces. Ava Boyle added eight digs and 13 assists, and Josie Kivak added 12 digs. Aubrey Lewis added two kills and a block.
Delaware Valley 3, Tunkhannock 1: At Matamoras, Paris Machado had 18 kills to pace Delaware Valley to a four-set win, 25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 25-17.
Bri Waldron added 10 points and eight kills for the Warriors, while Makayley Hughes had 40 assists, 10 points and 17 digs.
