Jordyn Woods is sharing her good luck charm with New York City’s mayor.
At the Knicks Championship parade in N.YC. on Thursday, June 17, the 28-year-old had her famed “lucky” orange handbag from her brand Woods by Jordyn— the same one she had with her at every winning New York Knicks game in the 2026 NBA Finals — in tow.
In a snap shared to Instagram by Woods, Mayor Zohran Mamdani smiles widely as he holds the “Tux Clutch Mini” bag.
“WE OUTSIDEEE,” the caption reads.
Woods, whose fiancé is the Knicks’ Karl-Anthony Towns, went viral for her orange purse throughout this year’s NBA Playoffs. On an episode of “Are You OK” that dropped on the morning of Game 5, the model shared that the bag had been her “superstition.”
“Mine has been my bag,” she said, adding, “And so far, 14-0.”
Ahead of Game 3, however, Madison Square Garden and the United States Secret Service announced a no-bag policy and encouraged fans in attendance to “limit personal items to an absolute minimum.”
The announcement followed the news that President Donald Trump planned to attend the game at MSG. The rule had Woods — and Knicks fans — worried since she would be without her good luck charm.
That night, the Knicks fell 115-111 to the San Antonio Spurs.
The bag ban was lifted for Game 4 at the Garden, so Woods brought the famed handbag — and the Knicks enjoyed a 107-106 win over the Spurs.
Of course, the bag was also with her at Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals, where the Knicks were victorious, defeating the Spurs 94-90 to secure their first championship title since 1973.

Less than a week after the championship win, Woods’ faux-orange ostrich leather purse — which retailed for $125 — — completely sold out.
“The response to the lucky bag (Tux Clutch Mini) has been truly incredible, and we are so grateful for the overwhelming love and support. We were honestly shocked by the extraordinary response,” began a post shared by the official Woods by Jordyn Instagram account on Tuesday, June 16.
“As a result, we have to set the product as ‘Made-to-Order,’ this way everyone who wants the lucky bag has an opportunity to purchase. All Tux Clutch Mini pre-orders are scheduled to ship in September,” the post continued.

After the Knicks secured the Larry O’Brien Trophy, Towns — who announced his engagement with Woods on Christmas Day 2025 — gave several shout-outs to his fiancée and her purse, deeming it the “greatest” in “basketball history.”
“It’s one of the greatest clothing articles in the history of basketball!” Towns said in one clip of the bag carried by Woods shared on Sunday, June 14. “I want everyone in New York to know that bag won a championship,” he said in another.
“@karltowns made sure everyone knew his fiancée @jordynwoods bag was UNDEFEATED! 🏆👜” read the caption of the NBA Instagram post.
