SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Great New York State Fair kicks off Wednesday and many are wondering if there will be any new additions.
Well, the answer is yes! There will new menu items such as Dubai chocolate creme puffs, empanadas, and even a new shop you can shop for cheese.
David Tadros, a worker at Tadros Pastries said, “We want to make sure everyone comes out. Bring your friends bring your family. This is the way to go.”
There will also be a new ride added to the fair named Zeus and events like ax throwing and dog shows.
There will truly be something for everyone. Fair director, Julie LaFave commented on her favorite new addition.
“I love that we are activating spaces that otherwise didn’t have anything last year. I love the root of our agriculture competitions. When I say that I mean more horses, more sheep, more pigs, more goats, we are seeing increases in a lot of those categories and that’s who we are in our heart right is agriculture.”
The gates for the fair will open at 9 a.m and close at 11 p.m every day except Labor Day where they will close at 9 p.m.
