CreativeMornings x Keep It Aloha. Join host Kamaka Dias of the Keep It Aloha podcast, acclaimed actor Moses Goods and comedian Pashyn Santos for the next CreativeMornings event at SALT at Our Kaka’ako. The event starts at 8 a.m. and includes storytelling, laughs and conversation about what it means to “keep it aloha” in Hawai’i today. Details.
New Island music. “American Idol” winner Iam Tongi; ‘ukulele virtuoso and Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner Jake Shimabukuro; and the up-and coming reggae music sensation Kanaka Fyah have picked the same day to release new music. Tongi launches the single, “Eyes for You,” while Shimabukuro has a new album “Calm Seas.” Kanaka Fyah is releasing a new single as well, “Morning Sun.” Details.
Brunch. Egghead Café is offering $10 plates through Jan. 31. The Kalihi brunch spot specials include cheesy eggs, green onion pancake with cheese, cinnamon French toast, avo-corn toast and more. Details.

Go to the theater. Mānoa Valley Theatre, Diamond Head Theatre and Kumu Kahua Theatre have shows on stage this week. Diamond Head Theatre launched the musical “The Last Five Years,” with a score by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, this month. Mānoa Valley Theatre opened “Dial M for Murder,” a “murder mystery whodunit thriller,” according to Dwight Martin, who plays the chief inspector in the show. Both productions run through Sunday, Feb. 8. Kumu Kahua Theatre has “Two Nails, One Love,” written by Lee A Tonouchi and based on the novel by Alden M Hayashi, on stage through Friday, Feb. 6. Watch “The Wrecking Crew.” This action comedy starring Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista launched on Prime Video on Jan. 27. It features two estranged brothers Jonny (Momoa) and James (Bautista) as they seek out the killer of their father.
