New Music Friday: sombr, ZAYN, Joji, Niall Horan and more

Following his first-ever Las Vegas residency, ZAYN unleashes Die For Me. It serves as the first taste of his upcoming ‘pop-forward’ fifth solo studio album KONNAKOL, due April 17.

Fresh from his disco-tastic performance at last weekend’s GRAMMYS, BRITs International Artist and International Song of the Year nominee sombr drops brand-new track homewrecker. Look out for the official music video, which features cameos from influencer Quen Blackwell and actor Milo Manheim.

Calvin Harris links up with Kasabian for an all-British celebration on Release The Pressure while similarly, 2025 BRIT Rising Star winner Myles Smith calls upon former One Direction star Niall Horan to drop Drive Safe. We just can’t get enough of these solo 1D releases at the moment!

Ahead of her upcoming live dates, including four Florence + The Machine arena tour support slots, Dionne unveils striking new single Out Of My Mind. On the track, Dionne says: “This song speaks to my inner state. I’m reaching out my hand hoping someone understands and reaches back. I feel there’s a growing sense of disillusion. How did we get to this? Sometimes I feel such concern for humanity.”

Ahead of the release of her third studio album Florescence, the follow-up to chart-topping 2023 record The Good Witch, Maisie Peters offers up My Regards, a tune that she says “feels powerful, tongue in cheek, sexy and funny.” Catch Maisie performing at London’s KOKO on Wednesday March 25.

London singer-songwriter Jonny Gray is determined to Stay On Your Mind with his latest tune.

BRIT School graduate and all-round pop ✨auteur✨ Eden Hunter delivers Showgirl, the first single from her upcoming five-track project The Circus Man, due March 13. On the track, Eden says: “It’s a pop-theatrical anthem about obsession, ambition, and the cost of chasing a dream. It captures the moment when desire outweighs reality – glamorous, raw, and unapologetic. Maximalist production meets heartbreak and defiance, paying tribute to the showgirls who came before me and the drama behind the spotlight.”

Other big new releases this week come courtesy of Irish neo-soul artist Carrie Baxter (Change), Eades’ Harry Jordan with his first solo track (The Beautiful Life), Manchester’s cruush (Great Dane) and ugly ozo (hi, how are you?).

Now, let’s turn our attention to albums.

Japanese multihyphenate Joji will be hoping for a fourth Top 40 LP with his latest studio collection Piss In The Wind. Joji’s previously seen Official Albums Chart success with 2018’s BALLADS 1 (26), 2020’s Nectar (6) and 2022 record SMITHEREENS (13).

J. Cole unleashes his seventh, and final, studio album The Fall-Off this week. Could it become the rapper and record producer’s fifth UK Top 10 album, joining 2013’s Born Sinner (7), 2018 LP KOD (2), 2021’s The Off-Season (2) and 2024’s Might Delete Later (7)?

Nick Jonas dons his Sunday Best for his fifth record, which features recent single Gut Punch. Is a third solo Top 40 album on the horizon for the Jonas Brother?

MOBO nominee Sasha Keable’s EP ACT II, a continuation of 2025’s project act right, will be hitting our ears this Friday.

Elsewhere, Illinois rock outfit Ratboys return with their sixth studio work Singin’ to an Empty Chair, Daphni (also known as Canadian composer Dan Snaith) delivers latest collection Butterfly and Joshua Chuquimia Crampton releases his fifth studio set, Anata.
