The actress and filmmaker wore a black gown with a statement cutout beneath the bustline to below the waist of the dress. Crafted in black fabric for a monochromatic bent, the dress evoked elements of the red carpet dark glamour trend, which pulls inspiration from Gothic and Victorian style cues with a modern variation.
The dress featured a V-shaped neckline with puffy, statement sleeves and ruched fabric just above the wrists. The skirt of the dress included a tiered element with more fitted material at the hips which transitioned to a flowing, voluminous style.

Wilde’s premiere look wasn’t wholly monochromatic. When it came to her accessories the actress and director wore a pair of emerald earrings and a chalcedony, emerald and diamond ring courtesy of Hanut Singh.
Glam for the actress featured Wilde’s hair pulled back into a bun, with makeup highlights including bold brows, dark and dramatically lined eyes to augment the dark glamour bent of her look and a neutral lip. Wilde’s look was curated by stylist Karla Welch.

Under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since 2016, Saint Laurent’s designs have been imbued with Vaccarello’s sensibility, bringing a modern edge to the storied French luxury fashion house.
“He has a very feminine, short, leather-intensive style, so in that regard, the filiation is clear and one can imagine very well how he will build on the foundations laid by Hedi Slimane,” Olivier Chatenet, the owner of over 3,000 vintage pieces of Yves Saint Laurent clothing and a consultant on Bertrand Bonello’s film “Saint Laurent,” said of Vaccarello at the time he took over the creative direction of the maison following Hedi Slimane.
