WILLARD, Mo. — Global pop star and lesbian icon Chappell Roan has earned two nominations for one of contemporary pop music’s most iconic awards — the Grammy Awards.
The Recording Academy released the list of nominations for its 2026 Grammy Awards on Friday, Nov. 7. Roan was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her 2025 single “The Subway”.

But hold your horses — this isn’t “the giver’s” first rodeo.
Roan won her first Grammy Award for Best New Artist in February earlier this year, while she also received five other nominations, including Album of the Year.
She’s currently touring the globe through her “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” pop-up shows.
The Grammys will air Feb. 1 live on CBS and Paramount+.
