What is a celebrity? According to the Oxford English Dictionary, it’s: “A well-known or famous person, especially in entertainment or sport, who attracts interest from the general public and attention from the mass media.”
The definition has become much more elastic in recent times, taking in not just genuine, famous-for-a-good-reason celebrities, like movie stars or pop singers, but also, in some cases, their spouses, siblings, parents, friends and people they’ve slept with.
