For 11 seasons, Patrick Dempsey not only established himself in the industry in his role as Derek Shepherd, aka McDreamy, in Grey’s Anatomy, but he also became a true Hollywood heartthrob. So, it’s perhaps no surprise that his kids not only inherited his good looks but are following in his footsteps in the entertainment industry too.
On Instagram, one of Patrick and his wife Jillian Dempsey’s kids, 19-year-old Sullivan Patrick Dempsey, was pictured modeling for the very first time.

In the photo, posted by luxury resale boutique Morphew World, Sullivan is rocking a 1980s YSL gown in blue and teal with black Christian Louboutin heels. In another post from June 8, Sullivan is showing off all the angles in a black Issey Miyake ensemble from the 1980s.
In addition to Sullivan, Patrick and Jillian are also proud parents to Sullivan’s twin, Darby, 19, and Talula, 24.
Back in 2023, the Memory of a Killer star looked back on his journey as a parent, sharing how different each of his kids really is.
“They all have unique qualities and they have their own goals that they need to develop and harvest themselves and we just try to model our behavior and hopefully they’ll pick up on that,” he said in an interview with People.
“They’re all athletic, they like to move,” he added. “They are all very disciplined on that and you just try to instill the right values. Hopefully, they have the right manners and when they come back in and other parents go, ‘Oh, your children are very polite,’ you’re like, ‘That’s nice to hear.’”
At the time, he also opened up about how challenging it had been to parent them as teens, as opposed to little kids.
“Because you need to be around, but they don’t want you around because they’re fighting for their independence, which they should,” he said. “They need to find out how they interact in the world, they need to learn those boundaries, they need to make mistakes. And you need to be there for them and allow them to learn from that.”
Prior to Sullivan’s fashion campaign, Patrick shared a proud dad moment in May 2025 when Sullivan and Dardy graduated from high school. “Graduation!!” Patrick wrote on Instagram. “So proud of you boys and cannot wait to see where the next chapter of your lives will take you!”
He also celebrated their birthday on February 1 with a sweet throwback photo. “Such sweet dream twinnies! 🎈🎈” he wrote. Happy birthday to our very creative & charming babies who turn 19 today @darby.g.dempsey @sullivandempsey_ We love you both so much! ♥️”
