They spent the last three weeks gearing up for the 2025 season, looking to avenge their Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and defend their AFC championship title for the fourth consecutive year.
Meanwhile, tight end Travis Kelce hosted a special episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” alongside his co-host, ex-NFL center and brother Jason Kelce. Their latest episode features an exclusive appearance from pop star Taylor Swift, who has been dating Travis Kelce since 2023.
After the Chiefs’ last practice, Mahomes spoke to the media about Swift and the podcast.

Mahomes revealed his excitement ahead of the pop star’s latest album reveal, which she shared on Wednesday’s episode.
“I’m obviously super excited. I mean, just knowing Taylor and seeing the process from just a little bit closer of how she makes the albums. It’s gonna be amazing because how much work she puts into it,” said Mahomes. “And what better place to announce it than the ‘New Heights’ podcast where I feel like she can be herself and showcase who she is. And I think people are gonna be really excited to watch it tonight.”
Swift announced on “New Heights” that her new album, “The Life of a Show Girl,” is scheduled to release on October 3.
On a separate note, Mahomes, Kelce and the Chiefs shift their focus to their Week 1 matchup against AFC West foe, the Los Angeles Chargers, taking place on September 5.
