He was downright rude to my husband when asked if he would write ‘to Loranne’ (which was written out for him) for the autograph. He turned to his assistant and said, ‘For future reference, I don’t personalize things.’ Every other Star Trek actor I’ve met has been beyond friendly and kind. They personalize autographs with a smile. I met Nichelle Nichols, and she basically radiated love and light. I saw Brent Spiner and Marina Sirtis once really greet fans with energy and gusto. Leonard Nimoy even Skyped into a con I was at in the worst and near-end of his cancer journey just so fans could get to meet him when he could not travel. It’s really not hard to be a hero to your fans.”
