Travis and Jason Kelce recently praised Blake Lively‘s performance in one of her most beloved films.
The two brothers reviewed the 2005 coming-of-age movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants on the Tuesday, October 7 episode of their New Heights podcast.
“For a movie in this age range, surprising acting, surprising level of acting, I thought for the film,” the 37-year-old former Philadelphia Eagles center remarked. “It was well done, Blake Lively, America Ferrara kills it as Carmen, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn.”
However, Jason did have an opinion on Lively’s athleticism in the film, as she is supposed to be a high school soccer player.
“I got to admit, not the best run,” he quipped. “Blake, I love you — it does not strike me as a star athlete run.”
However, Travis — who made his acting debut last year in the FX series Grotesquerie — noted that he would not be able to deliver lines while running, like Lively, 38, did in the flick
“It was impressive that she has good endurance, though, because to be running like that and to be talking,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, pointed out. “The scene on the beach, I was like I would be f**king gassed and be way worse at trying to spit my lines out if I was running while talking.”
“I’m doing short sprints like over distance, I don’t know how you could just have a conversation running like that,” he continued.
“I agree 1000 percent very impressive,” Jason added.
The two men mentioning Lively come as fans have begun to speculate that the track “Cancelled!” Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, is about the Gossip Girl alum — and that the two women may still be friends.
In the song’s chorus, the 35-year-old pop star sings, “Good thing I like my friends cancelled / I like ’em cloaked in Gucci and in scandal / Like my whiskey sour, and poison thorny flowers / Welcome to my underworld where it gets quite dark / At least you know exactly who your friends are / They’re the ones with matching scars.”
As Star previously reported, rumors that the 14-time Grammy winner and the Simple Favor actress were no longer friends began to swirl in January 2025, after Lively’s It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni brought Swift into his legal battle against Lively.
