“With the sun in my eyes, I can’t see where to go. Never felt more alive, aim for the highs and learn from the lows.”

In just a few lines, 25-year-old Savanna Leigh captures the radiant disarray of youth – confusion, surrender, and the unexpected freedom that comes from loosening your grip. Wrapped in glistening acoustic guitars, soft synths, subtle drums, and an eventual swell of horns, her words arrive like confessions too heavy to keep inside. The result is a diary entry set to dreamy music – a compelling portrait of early-20s chaos, inner reckoning, and unexpected might. And in “for your entertainment,” the Nashville-based singer/songwriter transforms life’s messiness into something spellbinding, soulful, and instantly unforgettable.

It’s sweet, stirring, and soft – and in that softness, Savanna Leigh finds her strength, confidently stepping into her power.

for your entertainment – Savanna Leigh
I’m turning off my mind
I can’t rely on intuition
I’m just a blurry line
Kinda like it
Spin me upside down
I’ll be the star, your entertainment
We’re kissing chaos now
Kinda like it
Do you like it when
it’s not your life that’s on display
get what you want then walk away
maybe I should learn to do the same

Atwood Magazine is proud to be premiering “for your entertainment,” the gentle yet achingly raw title track off Savanna Leigh’s forthcoming EP, for your entertainment. Following two earlier singles released in 2025, this song solidifies her place as one of indie pop’s most confessional and captivating new voices – carrying forward the intimacy that has defined her nascent artistry while introducing a bold, spellbinding cinematic sweep.

“‘for your entertainment,’ the title track of my new EP, was the most intentional song I wrote for this project,” Leigh tells Atwood Magazine. “I wanted it to tie together all the emotions and themes that run through the other songs – self-discovery, heartbreak, resilience, and learning to let go of control. This whole project is about figuring out who you are in the middle of the messiness of life and your twenties, balancing expectations from everyone else while wanting to stay true to yourself. It’s about embracing that chaos and finding strength in moving through it authentically.”

“This EP is me coming to terms with the idea that when you loosen your grip on life – when you stop holding onto the belief that your future and present are solely in your hands – you actually find freedom. There’s something unexpectedly beautiful on the other side of letting go.”

That spirit of surrender pulses through the song’s chorus, where she sings:

with the sun in my eyes
I can’t see where to go
never felt more alive
aim for the highs
and learn from the lows
it’s all coming undone
so I’ll stop trying to hold
on for my dear life
maybe that’s fine
it’s part of the show

Her lyrics double as a mantra – an anthem of resilience and becoming, one that captures the bittersweet, radiant disarray of youth. Lush, layered vocals ache in unison, mirroring the internal push-and-pull between control and release, clarity and confusion.

Leigh herself calls it a front-row seat to the circus in her head. “‘for your entertainment’ is really just me navigating the messiness of my early twenties in real time,” she explains. “It touches on themes of heartbreak, independence, yearning, growing pains, best friend breakups, and overall what it means to come back to yourself in the middle of all of the chaos. I wanted it to feel like my fans or anyone listening is getting a front row seat to the circus in my head, but in a way that is self-aware, honest, and authentically me… it’s real but it doesn’t take itself too seriously.”

all of my old ways
lately I don’t even miss them
feels like half my brain
is indifferent
‘cause it’s my life that’s on display
take what you want then walk away
maybe i should learn to do the same

By the outro, when she sings, “and the lights turn on and I’m on the stage / for the very first time I’m not afraid,” there’s no mistaking the breakthrough: fear replaced by freedom, chaos reshaped into catharsis. “for your entertainment” may be built on fragile foundations, but in that fragility, Savanna Leigh has found her fire.
