Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kicked off the second day of their trip to Jordan by visiting a worldwide organisation feeding people in moments of crisis. They travelled to the regional headquarters of the World Central Kitchen, where it coordinates and deploys a million hot meals across Gaza every day during the crisis.
Founded by chef Jose Andres, the organisation uses a network of field and community kitchens, bakeries and partners to enable almost half the population of Gaza to be fed. They then joined a World Health Organization (WHO) delegation for a visit to the national centre for rehabilitation of addicts as promoting mental health support is one of the themes of their visit.
In pictures from the visit, Meghan, who is wearing an all-black outfit with a grey cape over the top, links her arm in Harry’s and holds onto it as they walk down stairs.
