Six years after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry is reportedly trying his best to reconcile with the Crown. The pair eventually moved to California, where Meghan Markle has been promoting her luxurious lifestyle brand, As Ever.
As Markle chose a new career path, the Duke of Sussex has also taken on a new role. He shared his new career path on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast, giving a breakdown of his life after exiting the Royal Family.
Prince Harry Shares His Multiple Occupations
On July 13, Prince Harry appeared as a guest on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast, starting with a bang by referring to Joe Marler’s fingers as “crumbling sausages,” making the crew member burst out in laughter in the background. The host jokingly told him to stop interrupting and complete the questionnaire.
Marler asked the Duke to introduce himself with his full name. Harry replied, “Henry Albert Charles David, Duke of Sussex,” prompting Jake Bhardwaj, the co-host, to joke, “It’s a long one.” Harry quipped, “All right, Jake,” prompting laughter.
Marler interrupted, saying, “I actually thought you giving us your full name would clear things up.” The two ultimately decided to settle on “H” for short. The host then asked the Duke about his “occupation.” He answered, “Full-time dad. British Army veteran. Prince of England. Duke. But for today, I don’t know. What do you want?”
They agreed that “Duke” would be most appropriate. He was then asked if he would also call himself an “inventor,” referring to the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014. Harry noted that the term “founder” would be more appropriate.
He was also asked about his grooming routine. Harry answered it was “s***, shower, shave,” and his hair routine included trimming his beard every five to six days to keep it “tidy.” Harry added, “Nothing, nothing really happening on top. I get a haircut; otherwise I try not to look at what’s happening,” gesturing to his hairline.
Later in the interview, he was joined by his close friend JJ Chalmers, who was asked to reveal Prince Harry’s most annoying habit. While everyone expected an unusual answer, Chalmers shared that it was his parenting style that annoyed him and the friends’ group the most because the Duke would be the first one to pull the plug on the fun.
Royal Correspondent Says Prince Harry Was ‘Born to Be a Dad’
In a separate report from OK! Magazine, Jennie Bond, a BBC royal correspondent, shared that Prince Harry has an incredible sense of humor and has a “mischievous twinkle in his eye.”
Though he has been living a “very different chapter to his story,” she believes that there’s “something about Harry that makes you think he was born to be a dad.” Bond added, “Perhaps it’s his natural playfulness, of which we still get glimpses, or, rather more obviously, the fact that he told the world that he couldn’t wait to start a family of his own”
The report shared the Duke’s 2012 statement, in which he had said that he had yearned for kids from a young age. He continued, “I’m waiting to find the right person and someone who’s willing to take on the job.” He later married Meghan Markle, and the couple welcomed their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
