Prince Harry is in the UK for four days this week and it seems the world is waiting with bated breath as to whether he and his father are going to meet, which would be the first time in over a year.
Harry arrived in the UK yesterday, spending his first day in London. He is now in Nottingham, with plans to return to London tomorrow. However, there’s a flaw in the plan. King Charles is currently in Scotland, but that doesn’t mean the meeting won’t happen. According to the Sun, Charles plans to return to London as early as tomorrow.
Though the King’s London itinerary for this week remains undisclosed, his presence could provide the duo with an excellent opportunity to finally reconnect, reports Daily Express UK.
The Duke of Sussex returned to Britain this week for a series of commitments related to his charities and patronages during his four-day visit.
While Harry will be in Nottingham today fulfilling several commitments, he’s expected to return to London by Wednesday afternoon for a visit to Imperial College’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies.
Harry’s last encounter with his father occurred in February, when he rushed home following news of the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.
On Monday, Harry praised the gravely ill children and young people honored by WellChild as a “beacon of hope and inspiration.”
Speaking exclusively to Daily Express US, royal expert Pauline Maclaran talked about Harry’s relationship with the charity.
Maclaran said: “The WellChild Awards are very important to Harry and he has been involved with the Wellchild organisation for 17 years.”
She added, “This is a national charity that supports children with complex medical needs, and I think Harry places much importance on continuing to be involved with the organization.
“It very much reflects his humanitarian concerns in terms of celebrating the resilience of young people who have shown incredible courage in the face of their illnesses, so I believe he genuinely empathizes with them deeply and wants to draw attention to their bravery by ensuring he appears in person at the awards.”

Harry concluded an evening of festivities by urging the award recipients to “keep fighting, keep smiling” as the organization celebrated their determination to flourish despite life-threatening illnesses.
Prior to the ceremony, marking its 20th milestone, the duke, who has served as the charity’s patron for 18 years, greeted the honorees at the central London venue and discussed the “challenging” dynamics between brothers and sisters.
