While he does not do so anymore, a previous history of drug-taking can be grounds for the US Government to reject a US visa application, with The Heritage Foundation wanting to know whether Harry told the truth on his visa and if he received special treatment as a result of his royal roots in the visa process.
This is a matter that The Heritage Foundation have taken to court before, with the Trump administration unearthing new documents this year which show Harry has a so-called “golden ticket” visa in the form of a special A-1 ‘Head of State’ document.
This is a visa given to members of foreign royal families.
Other details about his right to live in the US have not been made public, however it is believed Harry, 41, has not lied on any visa documents.
Speaking on The Late Show Live about Andrew being asked testify before US Congress over his links to Epstein, The Heritage Foundation’s Nile Gardiner has argued that Harry should also testify over his visa.
As reported by GB News, Gardiner said: “I do think actually, there’s a far stronger case for Prince Harry to be called to testify before Congress about his illegal drug use.
“We are appealing to the Trump administration to release Prince Harry’s immigration records because he admitted to extensive illegal drug use in his own book, Spare, and Prince Harry was granted entry to the United States.
“Normally, of course, if you’ve used illegal drugs, that’s a criminal offence and it’s very difficult to enter into the United States. Was he given preferential treatment or did he lie on his application form? That is a federal criminal offence that would result in deportation or five years in jail.”
Harry has not been formally called to testify over the matter. He has lived in America since quitting royal life in 2020 with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
