Prince William still has a soft spot for his beloved Granny.
Three years after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the 43-year-old admitted that he still feels the weight of the late monarch’s absence, detailing how difficult it was to process the loss of her and his grandfather Prince Philip, who died in April 2021.
“I do actually, yeah, I do miss my grandmother and my grandfather,” he told Eugene Levy in a preview clip for the Oct. 3 episode of the Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler. “It’s been quite a bit of change.”
William—who is first in line to the British throne, currently occupied by his father King Charles III—made the remark while giving the Schitt’s Creek star a tour of Windsor Castle. And despite living on the estate with wife Kate Middleton and their kids Prince George, 12, Princess Charlote, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, it’s a place he still associates closely with his grandmother.
“You think about them not being here anymore and particularly being in Windsor,” he continued. “For me, Windsor is her. She loved it here—she spent most of her time here. Showing you around today is very much a case of trying to make sure I’m doing it the way she’d want you to see it.”
