Royal Caribbean International’s third Icon-class ship, Legend of the Seas, will stage Broadway’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
The musical, making its debut at sea in the Royal Theater, will “bring the magical world of Willy Wonka to life in a show packed with sweet surprises,” Royal Caribbean said.
The Legend of the Seas will also feature the Icon class’ third supper club concept, this time with a Golden Age of Hollywood theme. The Hollywoodland Supper Club will offer “an evening of glitz and glamour complete with sultry jazz, gourmet bites and cocktails,” Royal Caribbean said. The multi-course dinner experience will “take guests through a journey of cinema from 1910 to the 1950s.”
The Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas have New York and Chicago-themed supper clubs, respectively.
The Legend also will have Legend Station, the cruise line’s immersive Royal Railway dining experience, this time a simulated journey with Marco Polo through multiple countries, including China, India and Italy. Guests are served a five-course meal. Royal Railway debuted on Utopia of the Seas last year.
The Legend of the Seas will debut in the Mediterranean on July 11 before repositioning to the Caribbean in November, homeporting in Fort Lauderdale.
