Insiders claim not everyone in the royal family approves of King Charles’ US trip.

King Charles’ historic visit to the United States will continue to take place as scheduled. But royal insiders fear that this trip might be one of the unpleasant official trips in recent memory. The reports claim that even the late Queen Elizabeth II would have disapproved of His Highness’s visit to the US.

The drama is layered in the four-day trip after someone had tried to open fire at President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. While tension continues to rise, the POTUS is determined to host King Charles and Queen Camilla on their first trip to the US after years.

‘The King Wants To Tick a Historic US State Visit’

According to exclusive reports from The Times, an insider has told them that everyone close to the Crown is unified on King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit to the United States. The source, who has previously worked for the late Queen Elizabeth II, claimed that she would not have approved of this visit.

They commented, “I can’t help but think QEII would have had the government pull the plug on this state visit ages ago.” The royal insider added, “I’m sure the King wants to tick a historic U.S. state visit off his bucket list. It just seems a shame it has to be under these conditions and timing.”

The royal commentator discusses King Charles’ trip to the US.

King Charles III’s royal trip is part of the 250th anniversary of America, featuring a royal garden tea party that will break an age-old tradition. While tensions continue between the two countries, President Trump is determined to put on a spectacular display for his “good friend.”

However, his “special relationship” with the Crown is severely strained by his recent criticism of Sir Keir Starmer, the UK’s Prime Minister. According to an exclusive phone interview with the BBC, he verbally slammed him for having contradictory thoughts on immigration.

But more importantly, the UK’s lack of involvement in the war in Iran has upset him. He said, “I didn’t need them at all but they should’ve been there. I didn’t need them, obviously,” claiming the call for support was “more of a test” for the allied country.

‘The Diplomatic Equivalent of Muhammad Ali Bobbing and Weaving’

In the same report by The Times, a friend of King Charles stated that inside the royal family, his trip is seen as his “biggest and most significant mission to date.” They stated that His Highness has a “natural aptitude” to overcome any issues that come his way, and that he will step up in high-stakes situations.

The friend claimed that they had seen him speak cleverly to navigate the conversation smoothly. They added, “He can see the punches coming and he can swiftly move out the way — it’s the diplomatic equivalent of Muhammad Ali bobbing and weaving at his best.”

However, a former senior aide to the late Queen Elizabeth feels otherwise. They recalled a visit to the United States in 2007, hosted by then-President George W. Bush, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the English settlement of Jamestown, Virginia. They said, “It was nothing but pure joy. I suspect this week will be rather different.”

Interestingly, Trump believes otherwise, as he said during an interview with the BBC that his friend’s visit would “absolutely” mend their strained relationship. A senior royal official said, “If the trip had been cancelled or postponed it would have risked turning what is hopefully a temporary rupture into a permanent estrangement,” as per The Times.
