After a handful of projects in the early 2000s, including the successful Gladiator (2000), Crowe and Scott reunited for Robin Hood(2010), another historical epic. This film, however, which serves as a gritty origin story for the legendary figure, didn’t fare well with critics or audiences.
Now, in a new post on X, Crowe shares his thoughts on why Robin Hood didn’t hit the same highs as something like Gladiator. According to the star, 17 minutes were cut from the theatrical release, resulting in a movie that lacked much of an emotional punch.
