SAG’s 2026 Actor Awards by the Numbers: Which Movie Won the Most?

Sinners dominated the film categories at the 2026 Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA.

The movie earned two total awards during the Sunday, March 1, ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Michael B. Jordan won big as he took home the coveted Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. At the end of the evening the entire cast walked away with Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Earlier in the evening, Sean Penn received Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for One Battle After Another. Weapons‘ Amy Madigan was awarded Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role while Hamnet‘s Jessie Buckley earned Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.

One Battle After Another led the pack of film nominees at the Actor Awards. The action thriller’s six nods included Cast in a Motion Picture, Female Actor in a Leading Role for Chase Infiniti, Male Actor in a Leading Role for Leonardo DiCaprio, Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Teyana Taylor and Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Penn and Benicio Del Toro.

Sinners trailed closely behind with four nominations for Cast in a Motion Picture, Male Actor in a Leading Role for Michael B. Jordan, Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Wunmi Mosaku and Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Miles Caton.

Marty Supreme and Hamnet landed three nods each, with both films getting recognized in the Cast in a Motion Picture category. Marty Supreme’s Timothée Chalamet and Odessa A’zion received nominations for Male Actor in a Leading Role and Female Actor in a Supporting Role, respectively, while Hamnet’s Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal earned nods for Female Actor in a Leading Role and Male Actor in a Supporting Role, respectively.

Meanwhile, Frankenstein and Bugonia were both nominated in two categories. Frankenstein was up for Cast in a Motion Picture and Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Jacob Elordi. Bugonia stars Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons were in the running for Female Actor in a Leading Role and Male Actor in a Leading Role, respectively.

Several films received single nominations thanks to their cast members: If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’s Rose Byrne and Song Sung Blue’s Kate Hudson for Female Actor in a Leading Role, Blue Moon’s Ethan Hawke for Male Actor in a Leading Role and Wicked: For Good’s Ariana Grande and Weapons’ Amy Madigan for Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

In addition to being the most nominated film at the Actor Awards, One Battle After Another also took home the most accolades during the 2026 Golden Globes in January, winning four categories. Taylor, 35, earned Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, while Paul Thomas Anderson received Best Screenplay – Motion Picture and Best Director – Motion Picture. The movie’s big night concluded with a win for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

One Battle After Another continued its awards season streak at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards in February, winning six trophies.

Meanwhile, at the Critics Choice Awards in January, Sinners and Frankenstein tied for the most accolades, receiving four each. However, One Battle After Another secured the top prize of the night: Best Picture.

Later this month, the films will go head to head at the 2026 Oscars on March 15. Sinners leads the pack with a record-breaking 16 nominations.
