Salma Hayek looked radiant in a bold bikini that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit recently shared on Instagram.
Hayek, 58, recently made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover debut. In honor of Taylor Swift’s big album announcement, Sports Illustrated shared a collection of beauties in orange swimwear that they had taken over the years. Hayek kicked off the sizzling-hot selection of shots and fans went wild.
The Instagram post was shared on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit page on August 13, shortly after Swift announced her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Ahead of Swift’s announcement, she shared a handful of teasers about her big news. The color orange was dominant in those teasers, and during her appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast New Heights with his brother, Jason Kelce, Swift explained why she focused on orange.
“I’ve just always liked it,” Swift said of the color. She added, “It feels like kind of energetically, how my life has felt. This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during [the Eras Tour], which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.”
In honor of Swift’s new album and her love of the color orange, the Sports IllustratedSwimsuit Issue team paid tribute to the ladies they have highlighted over the years who slayed in orange-hued swimwear.
Hayek’s bikini shot took the first spot in the Instagram carousel. The caption read, “& that’s life of a #CoverGirl for you.” An orange heart emoji was added to the caption, as were hashtags about Swift and her new album. One hashtag read, “Taylor Swift inspired.”
“@salmahayek the best for me,” declared one Instagram user.
One fan noted that Hayek is “ageless,” and several indicated they thought she looked fiery hot.
Hayek’s photoshoot took place in Mexico at the Cuixmala resort. The orange bikini and matching coverup were custom-designed for the photoshoot by Raquelle Pedraza.
Pedraza shared in an Instagram post that she was “deeply inspired by the architecture and energy of @ciuxmala, a hidden gem in the Mexican jungle where the shoot took place.”
The Swift-inspired Instagram post shared by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit also included Martha Stewart, Chrissy Teigen, Ashley Graham, Gayle King, and a handful of other beauties.
