Sara Rosa Sfamurri didn’t plan to go viral.
The influencer, known for her mix of beauty and humor, was lounging poolside in a blue bikini with gold accents, talking about travel and skincare. Then a fan dropped an unexpected request in the chat.
“Someone asked me to teach their parrot how to walk like a model,” Sfamurri told The Blast. “I paused and thought, ‘Is this real?’ I couldn’t stop laughing.”
Instead of brushing it off, she embraced the weirdness.
She grabbed a nearby plush parrot toy and turned the request into a mini runway show.
She narrated each step in a mock-serious tone.
Viewers were hooked.
Within minutes, clips from the stream started spreading across Instagram, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter).
“It turned into a 20-minute improv bit,” she said. “I had no script. I was just reacting in real time.”
“That’s what I love,” she said. “It wasn’t staged. It wasn’t planned. It was weird and fun.”
Sfamurri, who’s built her audience on what she calls “intentional authenticity,” said moments like these are why her content connects.
“People are tired of perfectly curated posts,” she said. “They want something that feels real, even if it’s ridiculous.”
Though her followers are used to seeing high-fashion looks and luxury vacations, they also know she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
“I’ll post a no-makeup selfie one day and a designer shoot the next,” she said. “That balance is what keeps it fun for me—and I think for them, too.”
She didn’t expect the video to gain so much attention, but she understands why it did.
“Everyone’s scrolling through the same polished stuff,” Sfamurri said. “Then this random bird runway clip shows up. It makes you stop.”
One viewer wrote, “Only Sara could turn a bird joke into a fashion moment.”
Another said, “I didn’t even know I needed this, but I watched it five times.”
For Sfamurri, it’s proof that leaning into the unexpected works.
“If I see something weird in the comments, I’ll probably try it,” she said. “That’s where the gold is.”
