On Monday, June 1, the 23-year-old son of Sarah Jessica Parker, 61, and Matthew Broderick, 64, shared pictures to social media from a photo shoot he did with musician and photographer Brad Walsh.
“So dope!! Thank you @bradwalsh ❤️,” the Elsbeth actor captioned the Instagram carousel, adding on his Instagram Stories that he was “SO HONORED” to work with Walsh.
The portraits began with a black-and-white image of James Wilkie in an arm-baring tank top, then moved to a second photo of him raising his arms above and behind his head, flexing his muscles as he leaned against a wall.

According to the author, the photos will be included in his forthcoming book FELLA: IMAGES OF MEN.
A description on Walsh’s Instagram account describes the book as a chronicle of Walsh’s career as a “fashion and nightlife photographer from 2002-2018.” Per the description, the book will include “impromptu and candid snaps taken over the last two decades.”
“Subjects include many types of men – mostly ordinary people – peppered with actors, singers, models, and other cultural figures,” the description continues.
Parker was a proud mom in her son’s comments, writing, “Ah handsome. And happy. Xxx, mama.”
The Sex and the City actress and the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off alum married in 1997, and welcomed James Wilkie, their first of three children, in October 2002. James Wilkie’s 16-year-old twin sisters, Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, arrived in June 2009.

Parker and Broderick typically keep their kids out of the spotlight, but the Hocus Pocus actress made a sweet mention of her family in her January 2026 Golden Globes acceptance speech, when she was honored with the Carol Burnett Award.
“To my beloved family, my brilliant husband Matthew Broderick, who has been my husband for just shy of 30 years,” she said. “Who has given me a family discount, an all-access pass to his masterclass in acting, comedy and dedication.”

Parker continued, “And to the family we have made. Our divine James Wilkie, Loretta and Tabitha, oh God. I love you so deeply and admire so much the people that you are becoming. That every day at home and at work, I want to make you proud.”
One year prior, Broderick spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about appearing on camera with his son for the very first time for an episode of Elsbeth.

“I was so proud and happy to work with my son James,” Broderick told PEOPLE of the experience in January 2025. “Working with everyone on Elsbeth was a pleasure and I’m excited for the episode to come out.”
James Wilkie, who was present for the joint interview with his father, was equally enthusiastic about the opportunity.
“What a thrill it was to work side by side with my dad — who also happens to be my favorite actor!” James Wilkie said. “The whole experience of working on Elsbeth was beyond exciting and I am very grateful to the producers for giving me this opportunity!”
