The dark & dangerous ones have followed up last year’s stellar full-length with a stop-gap EP, along with Russia’s Mystic Storm, set to be issued by Shadow Kingdom, on May 1. right now, Stacey and her hooded cohorts are in the process of finishing up some East Coast & Canadian dates (March 31 Montreal, April 1 Toronto).
Of the three newbies, “One Step Closer To Love” leads things off: a bouncy, fist thrusting anthem with a bit of echo on her voice. Destined for the stage. Despite a title that recalls 80s power ballads, “The Last Kiss” is a sturdy (punked up?) rocker, with recurrent, male spoken voiceover. The last of the trio is “The Power”, a short thumper that fades out to pilot radio chatter.
