SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Every October, Hollywood comes to the Hostess City.

The 28th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival (SSFF) celebrated its opening night Saturday with some of Tinsel Town’s finest.

Actors Miles Teller and Oscar-winner Da’vine Joy Randolph walked the red carpet to promote their new movie, “Eternity.”

Described as a “spiritual rom com,” the movie focuses on a woman who must decide between two of the men she loved in her lifetime to spend eternity with. When asked who he’d like to spend eternity with, Teller told WSAV News 3, “The dogs I’ve had during my life who have died. And some of my favorite musicians who are no longer with us.”

This was Randolph’s first time at the SSFF, but not her first time in Savannah.

She filmed “Bride Hard” in the Coastal Empire in 2025. She loved the time she spent here. “I love it’s small town-ness but it also has a city vibe. I respect the restaurant cred. You guys take that serious! And it’s unique. It’s definitely a quintessential southern town but it has its own fun spin on it. And I appreciate that!”

The crowd was treated to autographs with both Teller and Randolph. That’s one of the best parts about the festival: the crowd can get up close and personal with their favorite stars.

The 28th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival runs through November 1st. Stay with WSAV News 3 for daily coverage of the stars, movies and events.
