Selena Gomez couldn’t hide her shock after she found herself in a hilariously awkward moment during her guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The singer-actress was joined by her Only Murders in the Building co-stars, Steve Martin and Martin Short, to promote the show’s fifth season.
While on the show, Fallon brought up Gomez’s upcoming wedding and asked how she was holding up as the big day approached.
“Are you having fun planning?” the host asked, to which she admitted she’s “excited” for all the festivities surrounding the big day.
“It’s a — It’s wonderful. I’m very lucky. It’s going well,” the former Disney star said.
As the crowd cheered, Martin chimed in and joked about being part of the guest list.
“I’m sure our invites will arrive any day now,” he said. This prompted the host to ask if her co-stars were invited to her big day.
“Of course they are,” she said and revealed that Short will be the ring bearer.
As for the veteran actor, he shared how thrilled they were to see her walk down the aisle. Unfortunately, instead of naming the record producer and songwriter, he mistakenly mentioned the Puerto Rican rapper.
“We are all so excited because we love this lady,” The Father of the Bride star said, adding, “And we love her fiancé, Bad Bunny.”
Upon hearing his comment, the “Who Says” hitmaker looked shocked, her expression frozen as she realized he had said the wrong name.
“Benny Blanco!” she playfully corrected the actor.
The incident sparked hilarious comments among the fans, who flooded social media with jokes and reactions to the mix-up.
“Selena ain’t playing about her man,” one wrote, referring to her reaction.
“Hahahahahaha. Bad Bunnny! Her face instantly froze. They are such a cute trio. Love them,” a commenter said.
One fan pointed out that the interaction was scripted and joked, “Lmao it’s a skit guys I’m sure she’s not really upset lol but she’s glowing btw she looks so beautiful and happy. makes me happy for her.”
The same goes for another who noted, “So funny we got the joke about Bad Bunny and Benny.”

The 33-year-old wrapped up 2024 on a high note, stepping into her fiancée era after announcing her engagement to Blanco, her boyfriend since 2023.
In an Instagram post, Gomez flaunted a stunning marquise diamond ring with a yellow gold pavé band.
“Forever begins now,” she captioned her photo.
Among the celebrities who congratulated the couple was the singer’s best friend, Taylor Swift, who commented, “Yes, I will be the flower girl.”
Meanwhile, Lily Collins called the surprising announcement the ‘best news ever’ while Cardi B appeared stunned, writing, ‘Waiiiitttt, hold on!’
