Shai Hulud have announced their return to Australia for a headlining tour in January 2026. Not only will this mark the American hardcore band’s first time in the country since Soundwave back in 2013, it will also mark their first headlining tour locally since May of 2010. The band’s full list of Australian tour dates, as well as ticketing information, can be accessed below.
The tour will see the band performing with lead vocalist Geert van der Velde, who rejoined the band in 2024 – nearly 20 years after he originally parted ways with them in 2005. He provided vocals on the band’s second studio album, 2003’s That Within My Blood Ill-Tempered. The band has undergone countless line-up changes since their 1995 formation, with guitarist Matt Fox the sole constant.

The tour announcement comes just weeks after the band were announced as an addition to the line-up of Froth & Fury festival in Perth, which will now serve as the final date of their tour. They were added to the bill alongside Norweigan black metal band Abbath, joining the already-announced line-up of Polaris, Soulfly, In Hearts Wake, Nailbomb, Lagwagon and Frenzal Rhomb, amongst others.
