FilmSharks is initiating its sales campaign at this week’s American Film Market in Los Angeles.
Written and directed by Olallo Rubio, whose 2012 doc feature “Gimme the Power” screened at SXSW, “Torment” stars Natalia Solián, a standout as the lead of Michelle Garza Cervera’s “Huesera: The Bone Woman” which won both the Nora Ephron Prize and Best New Narrative Director at the 2022 Tribeca Film. Based on original 2019 movie “Morgue,” written by Hugo J. Cardozo, “Torment” will be released in Mexico on Nov. 13 by TelevisaUnivision distributor Videocine, launching it in a country with a special affinity for genre movies.
