Monica can sleep well at night knowing that her kids are safe and sound in their own beds.
The “Angel of Mine” singer, 44, who is currently on the Boy Is Mine Tour with fellow singer Brandy, shared her thoughts on a viral debate regarding slumber parties in today’s day and age.
After The Neighborhood Talk shared a video from TikToker Mark-Anthony Django in which the single father said he was disappointed that other parents didn’t want their children coming to his daughter’s sleepover, the Miss Thang artist explained her feelings in the comments section.
“We don’t do sleepovers,” the mom of three wrote on The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram post. “My mother didn’t, I don’t either and that applied to my sons & daughter !”

The musician is mom to daughter Laiyah, 12, whom she shares with ex Shannon Brown, and sons Romelo, 17, and Rodney, 20, with ex Rodney “Rocko” Hill. She is also stepmom to Hill’s adult son Ramone.
In Django’s video rant about fellow parents not feeling comfortable with him hosting a sleepover as a single male, he said he felt “some type of way” because females were dismissive of the idea.
While some suggested that he could invite other mothers over as chaperones, Monica was still not on board. “In his case inviting some moms to be there overnight to chaperone may work but that would be a no for me as well,” she said on Instagram.
Monica’s comment has already received over 5,000 likes with many replying to her in agreement.
“Same Mo! No sleep overs I dont care who house it is. My kids are sleeping at home in their beds. Period,” one wrote, while another said: “Same and Idc who’s throwing it. My kids are coming home!”
