SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — New Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth specialty license plates were unveiled Tuesday by Smith Entertainment Group.
The Utah Jazz announced the redesigned specialty license plate will be available for fans to order through the Utah Division of Motor Vehicles beginning July 1.
The first-ever Utah Mammoth specialty license plate will become available after the state-required approval process is completed, according to Smith Entertainment Group.
Smith Entertainment Group shared the following details about the two license plates:
Utah Jazz License Plate:
- Newly redesigned Utah Jazz license plate will be available to order July 1, marking the first major redesign since 2021
- A portion of the proceeds from each public sale will benefit organizations and support programs that affect women and children.
- Available for most passenger vehicles and may be personalized with up to five alphanumeric characters
- Fans can order the plate online at DMV.utah.gov beginning July 1.
Utah Mammoth License Plate:
- The first-ever Utah Mammoth license plate uses team’s official branding and marks
- A portion of the proceeds from each public sale will benefit the SEG Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to rally behind the people and causes that make Utah the amazing place it is
- Utah state law requires the public to express their interest in new special group license plate designs, such as the Utah Mammoth plate, before production can begin. Details on how individuals can register interest will be available at a future date at DMV.utah.gov.
- Once the above threshold is reached, the plate will move into production. There is currently no specific timeframe for when the Mammoth plates will be available to order.
