The ACUM Awards ceremony will present a number of awards on November 17.
Local reggae/rappers Hatikva 6 and American pop star Sabrina Carpenter are sharing an award for most played songs on the radio in Israel for 2024/2025.
Hatikva 6’s “Superheroes,” a tribute to a nation that mobilized after October 7, was named the most-played Israeli song, and “Espresso” by Carpenter was the most-played international song, according to ACUM (Association for the Protection of Copyright in Israel).
The ACUM Awards ceremony, hosted by Zvika Hadar, will take place on November 17, at 8:30 p.m., at the Herzliya Culture Hall.
Awards being presented
Lifetime achievement awards will go to Lea Shabat and Shlomi Shabat, among the other awards that will be presented:
• The Moshe Wilensky Song of the Year Achievement Award will be presented to the song “Nadi Badi” performed by Agam Buhbut and Shahar Tavoch.
• The Uzi Hitman Album of the Year Award will be presented to Odeya for the album Yalda Shel Emuna, recognizing the unique language she has created.
• The Inbal Perlmutter Discovery of the Year Award will be presented to Noam Kleinstein (the daughter of Rita and Rami Kleinstein) for her breakthrough over the past year, demonstrating talent, charm, honest and open writing, combined with self-awareness and a sense of humor.
• The Yossi Banai Lyricist of the Year Award will be presented to Tzlil Klifi, who has established herself as one of the leading lyricists of the new generation.
• The Sasha Argov Composer of the Year Award will be presented to Eitan Darmon, a creator and composer with a distinctive musical language, skillfully navigating a wide range of styles, from rock intensity to intimate softness.
• The Yair Rosenblum Arranger of the Year Award will be presented to the music production duo Ido Netzer and Amit Mordechai (“Triangle”) for being at the forefront of pop production in Israel.
ACUM recognition
“ACUM has been the main engine driving Israeli musical creation in all its forms for almost 90 years. The ACUM Award, presented annually, is the most prestigious recognition for creators of all generations. The awards bear witness, honor, and pay tribute to those who continue to shine and embrace Israel through their creations, even in difficult times,” said ACUM board chairman Yoav Ginai.
