Wondering which series will run the show at the 2026 Emmys?
Well, The Bear‘s Liza Colón-Zayas and Somebody Somewhere‘s Jeff Hiller, who took home statues in 2024 and 2025 respectively, revealed this year’s nominees on July 8.
On the comedy side, Hacks leads with 24 nominations—breaking the record previously held by The Bear and The Studio for most nominations in a single year in the comedy category. As for the dramas, The Pitt is at the front of the pack with 25 nods (see the full list here).
Some nominees are hoping to win Emmys gold for the very first time. Take, Harrison Ford, for instance. While the actor already has a stacked resume (NBD: just the Golden Globes’ Cecil B. DeMille Award, an Oscar nomination and a slew of blockbusters), he’s aiming to turn his second Emmy nod for his role on Shrinking into a trophy.
“It means a lot,” Ford told CBS Mornings‘ Gayle King when he received his first Emmy nomination at age 83 last year. “The work that’s being done in television, it seems to me, is the equal of the writing that we’re getting in feature films.”

And while Steve Carell already had 11 Emmy nominations under his belt (10 for his work on The Office and one for his performance on The Morning Show), he wouldn’t mind if his 12th for his role on Rooster sealed the deal. Then again, awards have never been the reason the comedy star is in the biz.
“When you start crying about not winning awards, you have to look at where you are, and all the good things that have occurred,” Carell told Vulture back in 2014. “And what can I complain about? I’ve won the lottery.”
Keri Russell—who just earned her fifth Emmy nomination for her work on The Diplomat and eighth overall when you add in her nods for The Americans—also isn’t too bummed when her name isn’t called during the award show.
“It’s such a cool thing to be nominated and I’m always very secretly thankful I don’t have to speak publicly,” the actress, whose longtime love Matthew Rhys is looking to add another Emmy to his shelf with his three nominations this year, explained to Us Weekly in 2017. “Always secretly relieved. Always. I just go, ‘Oh my God. Thank God.'”
Meanwhile, six-time nominee Jason Segel from Shrinking, five-time nominee Janelle James from Abbott Elementary and four-time nominee Carrie Coon from The Gilded Age are also keeping their fingers crossed that 2026 is finally the year they receive the coveted statue.
However, the winners won’t be announced until the 78th Emmy Awards, which will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay and air live from Los Angeles Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC and Peacock. Until then, keep reading to see more nominees who have never won an Emmy.
