The Greater Wilson Area Church Musicians’ Guild will present a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, to benefit the Tuition Assistance Scholarship Fund of the Pro Music Conservatory in downtown Wilson.
The concert will be held at First Baptist Church, 311 Nash St., and is free. An offering will be received to benefit the scholarship fund.
The nonprofit guild includes local professional church musicians.
The Pro Music Conservatory is headed by Gayla Turk and has existed for more than 25 years.
This school offers lessons in piano, voice and a variety of instruments, as well as group teaching and summer camp experiences.
The scholarship fund exists to help young people who would otherwise be unable to afford lessons.
Turk is a member of the church musicians’ guild.
The concert will feature organ, piano, voice and clarinet.
Performers are Casey Childers, Penny and Rebekah Davis, Jack Fisher, Kelley Garris, Emilio Jaimes, Robert and Lauryn Morehead, Blaine Pittman, Sandy Pittman and Faye Jones.
