Survivor 50 contestant Joe Hunter will make his acting debut in a new Tyler Perry firefighter drama on Netflix. Hunter is a fire captain in real life and can currently be seen on Survivor 50 on Wednesdays at 8/7c on CBS (the season premiered on February 25). Netflix announced the start of production of Tyler Perry’s Where There’s Smoke on Tuesday, March 3, and included a photo of the cast on set as part of the announcement (see below).
