The anticipated Akron appearance of musician David Byrne has been canceled.
The Sept. 19 concert at the Akron Civic Theatre was to have been the fourth stop of a tour that started Sept. 14 in Providence, Rhode Island.
A notice posted on Ticketmaster says the Akron has been canceled and all ticketholders will be issued a refund. A reason for the show’s cancelation wasn’t immediately known.
David Byrne’s Akron stop has been canceled.
The lead singer of Talking Heads performed Sept. 17 in Columbus.

According to the Civic’s site, another event is already scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 19.
Byrne’s tour is in conjunction with the release of the Scotland born singer’s “Who is the Sky?” album, which was released on Sept. 5.
The traveling show feature some 13 musicians, singers and dancers including the American Utopia Band.
The Talking Heads were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland in 2002.
