You might think that a grueling, record-shattering concert tour would leave a musician so exhausted that they wouldn’t be able to focus on much else. Not for Taylor Swift.
“It was so physically exhaustive, I needed something to keep my mind sparking,” Swift said in an exclusive clip from iTunes that dropped early Friday morning alongside “The Life of a Showgirl,” her 12th studio album. “I was winding down this tour, and about ready to wrap up this tour that was the proudest thing I’d ever done. … And I just thought, I want to make an album that I’m that proud of. And that was the catalyst for this record.”
