It seems everyone in the pop culture world is talking about Taylor Swift’s rumored upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce. The power couple, who’ve been together since 2023, got engaged in August 2025 and are apparently fast-tracking their trip down the aisle.
On Friday, June 5, a source told In Touch that the singer-songwriter and NFL superstar plan to exchange vows at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City over the 4th of July weekend.
This news comes as a surprise, especially since Swift has been doing everything in her power to prevent major leaks about the ceremony. According to the Daily Mail, the “Love Story” singer has reportedly even ditched physical invites in favor of personal phone calls to guests, even sharing “slightly different details with different guests” to sniff out any potential leakers.
Now, it seems Swift and Kelce have reached their breaking point with the leaks. TMZ recently reported that all wedding guests are required to sign strict NDAs, and sources with direct knowledge revealed that even their close family and friends were “sent an iron-clad NDA.”
It makes sense that these precautions extend to family, especially since insiders previously alleged to the Daily Mail that Swift has even withheld details about the “really, really, big” wedding from her future father-in-law, Ed Kelce, because he “can’t be trusted” to keep a secret.
“He’s sort of like a loose cannon,” one insider told the outlet. “Nobody knows what he’s going to say, so it’s kind of a controversial situation.”
They noted that Ed “already gave out a lot of information about the engagement,” including when, where, and how his football-playing son proposed to the 14-time Grammy winner.
Speaking with News 5 Cleveland in late August 2025, Ed admitted that the Super Bowl champion had asked Swift to marry him at his Missouri home earlier that month. According to Ed, Kelce wanted to wait for the perfect moment, but Swift was seemingly getting “antsy.”
“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’ … they got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” Ed recalled. “They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”
